It's a Shame The World is The Way It Is"

Gay hate is at the forefront of the news lately, it's sad that the world is how it is, and it's a damn shame really.
I'm bisexual and i used to see it here in my town, homophobia in it's worst, most despicable ignorant form, and there's still a small pocket of those that hate, because guys like me prefer to love differently, than what is considered the norm of our mainstream, conservative society, hate and straight people still have power in this world, and we the ones in the shadows, hiding like vampires while the sun still shines in the daylight, we continue to stay hidden in the deepest dark shadows, from those i call normals, that are openly free to show their love, right there out in the open, when we aren't even allowed in some places, to show who we love, openly.
It's because of idiots and twofaced types like the guy that shot up a nightclub full of people he deemed undesirable, that i can never hold hands with my partner in public, for fear that he and i may be targeted, by those that would do us harm.
So i bow my head to those that have been forced, to crossover, before their time, at the prime of their young lives. Rest in peace, all of you.

"Things change, things stay the same"

02:24 Jun 07 2016

It's the middle of spring nearing summer, and i've looked forward to this season for the longest time, after what was a strange winter.

I've had some good times, even this past winter, and had the chance to take some great pictures at places i wouldn't have been able to go, to take pictures.

Photography is just one of my hobbies, and going to cemeteries to take pictures is something i like to do even though some would see it as a little morbid, to take pictures at cemeteires, and take pictures of gravestones, the older ones that date back to the 1800s.

Truthfully now, cemeteries are museums to me, and the gravestones are the masterpieces of art that you don't often see anymore in graveyards, they are an ode to a bygone era, when things were made to be musuem works, by master craftsman, and artists, of that bygone age, that look like they're out of a vampire movie, or straight from Dark Shadows.

Today i was taking pictures at an older cemetery, where the gravestones were weathered and worn by age, time, and the elements, over the many years they've been standing, as markers to those people that have been gone from this world for over the last two centuries, or three centuries.

I'm somewhat goth and love graveyards, maybe because of the connection to vampire movies and Dark Shadows, even if i'm way too old to be goth, or to be a hippie, when that time is long passed now, and lost in the mists of time.

Though i'm older, i'm still young at heart, and love my youth that i still seem to have in me, even at my age.

That's why i say to those that are young, to enjoy youth and being young while you are still young and don't be so quick to grow up so fast, because once youth is gone, then you have to live in the real world of adulthood, and that can be boring, and not so much fun, when you've grown up too fast.
